Alexey Kovsh

Alexey Kovsh is Executive Vice President of Business Development at Optogan. Alexey has been a member of Optogan's board since the company's founding and joined the company in his current executive capacity in 2009. Previously, Alexey was CTO of Innolume in the US and Germany, guiding the company from its founding in 2003 into a world-class quantum dot laser manufacturer. A recognized expert in quantum dot technology, Alexey has more than 400 scientific publications, spoken at numerous international conferences and has 10 issued and pending patents in various jurisdictions.

Alexey holds a degree from the St. Petersburg State Electrical Engineering University, where he studied under Nobel laureate Zhores Alferov, and a PhD from the Ioffe Physico-Technical Institute.
